30 x packs of Cress seeds
- Planting is simple. Just grab your seeds, some compost, planting pots, trowel and a watering can and you're good to grow!
- Plenty of seeds available to ensure classes across the school can get planting and learning about plant growth. Why not put some of the seeds under different conditions to see if that affects the growth rate?
- Easy to use and take up minimal storage space in school.
- Perfect for covering the Science objectives for Y1 Plants: identify and name a variety of common wild and garden plants, including deciduous and evergreen trees and identify and describe the basic structure of a variety of common flowering plants, including trees.
- Ideal for delivery of Y2 Plants objectives: observe and describe how seeds and bulbs grow into mature plants and find out and describe how plants need water, light and a suitable temperature to grow and stay healthy.
- Great for Year 3 'Plants' objectives. Pupils can: identify and describe the functions of different parts of flowering plants: roots, stem/trunk, leaves and flowers; explore the requirements of plants for life and growth (air, light, water, nutrients from soil, and room to grow) and how they vary from plant to plant; and investigate the way in which water is transported within plants and explore the part that flowers play in the life cycle of flowering plants, including pollination, seed formation and seed dispersal.
