- Key Stage 3 Physics - Waves: Frequencies of sound waves, measured in hertz (Hz); echoes, reflection and absorption of sound. Sound produced by vibrations of objects, in loudspeakers, detected by their effects on microphone diaphragm and the ear drum; sound waves are longitudinal. Pressure waves transferring energy; use for cleaning and physiotherapy by ultrasound; waves transferring information for conversion to electrical signals by microphone. Sound needs a medium to travel, the speed of sound in air, in water, in solids.
- Key Stage 4 Physics - Waves: Wave Motion, transverse and longitudinal waves
- Key Stage 4 Physics - Motion and Forces: Estimate speeds encountered in everyday experience (e.g. Speed of Sound).
- USB Connection enables projection of the waveforms using the included computer software
